Our day at Tweetsie

We spent the day at Tweetsie yesterday with friends, Bobby, Dj and Marisa!! It was our first time there and we really had a good time! The weather was beautiful! Savannah and Marisa haven't seen each other since June so they were excited just to spend the day together. The train ride was the highlight of their day!!

Day out with Daddy!!

Savannah and Eric decided that they wanted to have a day for just the two of them! They set off early in the morning and ate breakfast at Dunkin' Donuts, went to the library to check out some books on Johnny Appleseed (they're learning about him in school) and visited the Latta Plantation.

Our trip to Edventure Children's Museum

We spent last Saturday with our friends exploring this really cool and very interactive children's museum!

Emerald Hollw Mine

This past weekend we decided to take a trip to Hiddenite Gems and go mining! Our friends Andrew, Renee and Kyle came along with us. The trip is only about 45 minutes away and is well worth it. If your kids don't mind getting dirty, enjoy digging for treasures and playing in the creek they'll enjoy this! Savannah and Kyle had a great time sluicing ( sitting down under a covered sluiceway and washing buckets of dirt to find gemstones) but the creek was their favorite! We will definitly be doing this again!

You have to bring an extra change of clothes and some wipes! There is a public bathroom, but not really a place to wash up so having lots of wipes is a good idea! They also have picnic areas if you want to pack a lunch.

Lazy Days of Labor Day Weekend!

PUCKER UP CUTIE PIE!!!! On Friday night we enjoyed a night out at Brixx Pizza and Barnes and Noble with friends, Andrew, Renee and Kyle. I guess Savannah really missed her pre-school buddy Kyle! We went to the park , went swimming and enjoyed a relaxing weekend.
