Savannah went on her very first field trip yesterday to Patterson Farm with her Kindergarten class!! She and her Turtle friends rode the big yellow school bus to the farm!! She was so excited, but a little scared as well...she didn't like the fact that the bus didn't have seat belts. She requested to sit next to Mrs. Thomas but eventually got over her fear and sat with her pals!!
The kids had a blast. First they watched a short movie about the farm, the animals, how to pick their pumpkins, and what exciting things they were going to do. Mrs. Thomas and the Turtles got to feed the animals in the petting zoo first (Oh, the germs). I was quite pleased when we found out the animals were fed through tubes!! Ya, I love this farm!! After the petting zoo the kids got to stuff a scare crow that they got to take back to school and dress up. Then we headed over to the hay ride and got a tour of the farm, had a picnic lunch, played on the playground and last but not least they all got to pick their pumpkins!!! We all had such a great time. Eric and I feel so lucky we are able to join in on the fun with Mrs. Thomas and all the kids!! Mrs. Thomas told me half the class fell asleep on the bus ride home!!
